Why we built it
Card readers take a cut of every sale and can pull money back weeks later. Cash means an ATM line. Typing a phone number into Zelle at a busy counter is slow, and nobody remembers what they already paid.
So we kept the part that works, paying by Zelle, and added a card for each vendor you shop with. Landlords, daycares and tutors had the same problem with their paper receipt books, so we made Receipts.
What we hold to
The money stays with the vendor
It goes bank to bank by Zelle. We keep the tally, never the money.
