Questions
Can I take a deposit before I start?
Yes. Add the job with your price and log the deposit against it. The receipt shows what's still owed, and paying in full closes the job.
Is a receipt a contract or an invoice?
No. A receipt says what you were paid. Keep your estimate or contract for the work itself.
What about a quick job with no client saved?
