Accessibility

Everyone should be able to pay at the market. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on this site and in the Venda Wallet app.
What we do
- It runs in your phone's browser. There's no app to download, so it works with the screen reader, zoom and text size you already use.
- We build pages to work with a keyboard, show where the focus is, and include a Skip to content link.
- Images have text descriptions. Amounts and status messages are text, not pictures.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, animations stop.
- Sign-in uses a code sent to your email, or a passkey. No passwords to remember.
If you can't scan a code
- Buyers can use Find a vendor in the app instead of scanning the QR sign, and pay by typing the amount.
- Vendors can type the 6 digits under a buyer's pay code instead of scanning it.
Known gaps
The site hasn't had an independent accessibility audit yet. QR signs are printed by each vendor, so their size and contrast can vary.
Tell us about a barrier
If something gets in your way, email hello@vendawallet.com with the page and what happened. We'll work with you on a fix, or another way to get it done.
