Privacy policy

Last updated October 24, 2026 · Version 2026-10-24.1

Venda Wallet ("we") is software that keeps track of prepaid balances buyers hold with market vendors. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it and how long we keep it.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you give one, to sign you in with a one-time code and to send you messages about your account.
  • The name on your bank account, if you add money, so the vendor can match your Zelle payment.
  • Your cards, balances and their history: money you add, payments, gifts and refunds.
  • For vendors: business name, what you sell, booth, markets, website, Zelle email, phone or Zelle tag and the name it shows, which bank your Zelle goes to, and images you upload.
  • Directory listings: a market organizer can list a business that sells at their market before it joins, with its public name, what it sells and its booth. The business can claim the listing or ask us to remove it.
  • When you tap "Ask them to join" on a listed vendor, we count your request.
  • Passkey public keys, if you add a passkey. We never see your fingerprint or face data.
  • Push notification addresses for devices where you turn notifications on.
  • Details you add when you report a problem with a receipt.
  • A gift recipient's name and email, if you email a gift. We use it only to send that gift.
  • Records of what you agreed to and of important actions (signing in, reporting or confirming money added, refunds, Zelle changes, problem reports), with the time, your IP address and, for agreements, your browser's name. We keep these to prevent fraud and to settle disputes.

Venda Receipts (rent receipts)

If you use Venda Receipts, we keep the properties, tenants and receipts you enter: addresses, tenant names, emails and rent amounts, and each receipt's details. We use them only to make, email and store your receipts and summaries. Tenants' details are entered by their landlord. A tenant can stop receipt emails from the link in any receipt, and can ask us at hello@vendawallet.com for their data or to be removed. We don't keep photos of checks or any bank account numbers.

What we don't collect

We don't collect bank logins, card numbers or account numbers. We don't connect to your bank or email, and we don't use advertising trackers.

Cookies and analytics

We set one cookie to keep you signed in. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.

Because we don't track you across sites, Venda Wallet works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. If we ever start sharing data in a way those signals apply to, we'll honor them.

Who sees your data

  • Anyone can see a vendor's public profile: business name, what they sell, markets, booth, website and images.
  • Buyers who add money see the vendor's Zelle email, phone or tag and the name it shows. The vendor's bank stays private to the vendor.
  • Vendors see the name on your bank account (or your email if you haven't added one), your balance with them and your history with them.
  • Market organizers see which vendors sell at their market, with each vendor's public profile. They don't see vendors' emails, Zelle details or sales, or buyers' names or histories.
  • Service providers that run the app for us: Cloudflare (hosting, database, file storage, email delivery, bot protection and analytics), and the push services of your browser or phone if you turn on notifications.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or when needed to protect people from fraud or harm.

How long we keep it

  • Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Sessions: up to 60 days, or until you sign out.
  • Your account details: until you close your account.
  • Balance history, problem reports, agreement records and the action log: while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as needed for legal, tax and dispute purposes. When you close your account we remove your email and bank name from them.

Your choices and rights

  • Download a copy of your data any time from Settings, Your data.
  • Correct your bank name in Settings. Vendors correct their own details under Settings in the app.
  • Close your account from Settings. Any balance has to be spent or refunded first, so no one loses money.
  • Vendors listed by an organizer can ask us to remove the listing.
  • For anything else, including requests under your state's privacy law, email privacy@vendawallet.com. We won't treat you differently for asking.

Selling or sharing data

We don't sell your personal data or share it for targeted advertising. If Venda Wallet is ever sold or merged, your data would move to the new owner under this policy, and we'd tell you first.

California privacy rights

If you live in California, you can ask us:

  • To tell you what personal information we've collected about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with. The categories are in "What we collect" and "Who sees your data" above.
  • For a copy of it. You can download most of it yourself in Settings, Your data.
  • To correct it, or to delete it. We delete it when you close your account, except records the law or open balances require us to keep, as described in "How long we keep it".

We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer things about you. We don't share personal information with others for their direct marketing, as California's Shine the Light law (Civil Code section 1798.83) covers. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email privacy@vendawallet.com. We'll confirm it's you before we answer, for example by asking you to sign in. You can have an authorized agent ask for you, with your signed permission. We answer within 45 days.

Security

We store sign-in codes, sessions and API keys only as one-way hashes, and the balance history can't be edited. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Age

Venda Wallet is only for people 18 or older in the United States. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we'll close it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email first, and ask you to agree again where needed.
